The United Nations – Environment division wanted to create a Public Service Announcement film to launch World Environment Day 2019.
The brief was to create a film which signalled the importance of acting now to combat increasing air pollution – without focusing too much on doom & gloom, but more about inspiring people to collectively make a difference.
Partnering with M&C Saatchi Public Relations; Davenport Creative Ltd. developed x5 film concepts and treatments for a pitch which was won.
The idea which was chosen was to show a scenario in the future in which and elder generations tells the story of the day the world began to save itself. The end reveal is the day was June 5th 2019 – World Environment Day – the day in which it was being screened at the UN Conference in Beijing and published online in 9 different languages.
Davenport Creative Ltd. was tasked with producing & delivering the film. This included initial concepting, handling all pre-production & exec producing.
The campaign was a huge success, and created large scale traction and engagement on the day.
